PRESENTATION BY LOCAL FAMILY HISTORY GROUP
Join Us for a Fascinating Evening at the Bond Street Event Centre!
We are excited to invite you to an engaging talk hosted by the Bond Street Event Centre on Thursday, 27th February, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Our event features Daryl Wilson and Heather Pocknall from the Sale Museums and Family History Research Group, who will be discussing their groups published book titled ‘Sale and District Pioneer Index 1838-1900’, produced by the Sale and District Family History Group.
This book is a remarkable compilation of extensive research conducted by the group, which involved sifting through birth, death, and marriage records, along with various government and community contributions from our region. Daryl and Heather will share insights into the research process and reveal interesting facts about many of the individuals identified in the records. Their vast knowledge of local families and histories makes this talk not only informative but also incredibly engaging.
Prepare to be captivated as they recount fascinating anecdotes about the characters who have shaped our community's past. The presentation will also feature many historical photographs that will transport you back to the early days of our region – a delight for anyone with an interest in history!
Whether you're a history enthusiast or someone who has had little exposure to local history, this event is sure to excite your curiosity. Daryl and Heather will also share updates on previous projects from the Sale and District Family History Group, which is now part of the broader Sale Museums and Family History Research Group.
We encourage everyone to join us for this memorable evening! There is a cover charge of $15.00, with half of the proceeds going back to the History Group. We'll also be serving tea, coffee, and biscuits to make your experience even more enjoyable.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn more about our rich local history. We look forward to seeing you there!
