A History of Lake Guyatt’ coincides with the 1-year anniversary of Nakunbalook Environmental and Cultural Education Centre in Sale, Gippsland. Nakunbalook is a Gunaikurnai name which translates to ‘Grandfather Gumtree’ it represents knowledge and place. ‘A History of Lake Guyatt’ will draw on a variety of archives, including photographs from the Gippsland Art Gallery, Rotary Club of Sale, Guyatt Archives and the Sale Historical Society. Much loved local historian, author and former Mayor of Sale, Peter Synan will be delivering a history talk alongside the exhibition on Thursday 17th August 6.30pm-8.00pm. Peter Synan will discuss topics around the Sale Common and Sale Game Reserve as well as Herb Guyatt's role in the transition.
